 What Is A Fable?

A fable is a short story that teaches you what to do and what not to do.  Animals are illustrated in most fable stories. Fables are a good thing because they teach you the moral of the story which makes you do good things rather than bad. Fables can help people to be nicer because of what happened in a story.

There is also a youtube channel called Kids Hut Family and that has a lot of fable stories and it tells the moral at the end. Here are some really good fable story book covers.

My lockdown Highlights

Hello Bloggers!

As you may have already read my previous blog posts about lockdown you may already know that I do not like lockdowns because it is so boring most of the times. However the tasks I did for my school work keep me busy from being bored. I did some projects which I really enjoyed and they have been put together in a slideshow the teachers created. It's called Lockdown Highlights. You can check out my Lockdown Highlights slideshow below.

My Friends Birthday!

 My friend's birthday!

On Thursday 14th October My Best friend Josie had a birthday party! We had the birthday at the Blockhouse Bay beach reserve. My dad drove me to the shops and I got her a big box of chocolate, Then we drove to the beach where the party was held. We got there early until a few minutes later we saw my friend! The parking was small and there were not a lot of parking left so it was hard to find one. Then my dad drove away and then we found a spot to put the mat and chairs down to sit at. My friends sister invited her friend too.

Me and Josie ran down the the playground then we say two swings empty and we swung on it for a while, A few minutes later we ran to the sand near the picnic and then we decided to make a castle with water flowing around it and sand castles in the middle, we started to build and dig until we got to the water part and has to put water around it but it did not work because the water drained in the sand. We thought of putting shells underneath to make the water not drain but it didn't work

Here is a picture of our sand castle >   >    >    >

Eventually we gave up and decided to build a giant hole in the sand. She didn't know how to build one so I told her we had to make a circle and how big we wanted it and then started digging. Then we started digging the middle. We went to get water from the water fountain and dunked it in. It did not work but we dug more and water came out from no where! There was so many water we tried to take it out but it filled our buckets so we had to leave the water in there.

After a long time of digging we had finished! Here is another picture of our hole! >     >     >

After our hole we were bored so we came to the table and wiped our hands with baby wipes and then sat down. There were chips, carrots and some kind of thick food thingy you can dip your carrots in.

We ate for a while and then we went back to our hole. Josie's sister Rael and her friend Maddison went on a walk near the park further down. Me and Josie decided to go with them!

We walked down and down until we saw then and we came running towards them. When we got down we realised it was muddy and it was very slippery. We walked down further until we split up and looked around. Maddison shouted Me and Josie's name and told us to come here. We saw some kind of dark grey squishy mud thing on a giant sponge! It wasn't a sea sponge just a giant rectangle sponge covered in mud.

We carried on walking then me and Josie went to a rocky area and picked up rocks to see who could throw them the furtherest. Then we kept on walking until Maddison and Rael called our names and shouted us to come. There were little crabs! under rocks! Luckily we brought the blue bucket to put them in. Maddison and Rael grabbed some shells and picked them up to put it in the bucket.

We decided to go find more crabs then we pushed some rocks and there were lots of them! After about half an hour of searching we found many crabs and decided to go back to the place for Josie's birthday. We got there and cleaned our hands. We sung happy birthday to Josie and she blew out the candle. Then we ate some delicious cupcakes! And has some snacks. We got to play a bit more until my dad came to pick me up. I fed the birds and pigeons chips. I got a goodie bag and then I had to go. The end!

My learning in lockdown.

Kia ora! This blog is what learned during lockdown and how it has been so far. As you all know the school holidays is here! I am so excited about that since I don't like doing much online school.

Everything is still the same and we still have zoom meeting. The teachers put up a picture that has a link on it and the link leads to a site called code avengers. Code avengers is really fun and I absolutely enjoy doing the activities on there. It fun and teaches you in a very easy way which is why I enjoy it a lot.

It has been a long time in lockdown and I am forgot how it feels with a whole day outside because I only go out in my back yard to take my dog outside so he can run around and exercise. Doing school work is like a normal day now until we can go back to school.

To be honest, I actually miss school a bit because I hate lockdown so much because I can't go to the ice cream store, the bubble tea store, and more food stores I like which is a shame. I will see you guys in my next blog post! See you later!

My planting project!

My planting project!

Kia ora bloggers! during lockdown I did a planting project. What made me do planting? well, my mum has lots of seeds she saves from fruits and vegetables that we like and then we plant them. In this blog post I am going to show you how I planted them!

First of all my mum. got some chilli, kaffir lime, and papaya seeds that she saved from those fruits. My mum went out to the front yard to get a new bag of soil to plant out seeds in. When we got inside she opened the bag of soil. My mum saves a lot of jelly cups and old egg cartons so that we can use then for when she needs to plant seeds in. I had 2 large egg cartons and 7 jelly cups. We had to heat up a nail and make some holes so that the water could drain at the bottom of the jelly cup.

I put on my gardening gloves and used a jelly cup to put soil into another jelly cup one at a time. After the jelly cups I got to add some soil to the egg cartons and then spread it out. We did not fill the cups and cartons way to the top because we needed to put some soil on top after the seeds were planted. Soon, then we started sprinkling some seeds on the egg cartons and put some more seeds in the jelly cup.

We put 2 seeds in some jelly cups and 3 in the other jelly cups then we put the soil over it. We also put soil over the egg cartons and gently tapped it on top to make sure it was all set and ready to be watered. Our small laundry is a hot place so we put the egg cartons and jelly cups in there.

I had to go down the the garage to get my watering can, about 3 minutes later I finally found it because it was hard to look for. Then my mum filled it up with water and then I got to water the soil. I will keep you updated on when the seeds start to sprout! See you next time bloggers!

What I enjoyed about learning in lockdown.

Kia ora again bloggers! In this post I am going to share about what I have enjoyed about learning in lockdown. Nothing has changed yet and everything is fine at the moment.

What I enjoyed, I enjoyed  learning a little bit in lockdown because I don't need to do all kind's of work I can just write a blog post, reading writing, maths and some other activities for the morning not the whole day which is what I mostly enjoy about learning in lockdown.

What I don't enjoy, I really hate sitting in my chair and doing some work because I don't like sitting in one place for a long time but at least I get to learn about marine reserves because we are going on a trip to goat island! I can't wait to go to goat island again and also go to Mangawhai which will be really cool! I am super excited for that.

Anyways bloggers, I don't have anything much to write about so I will see you later! bye bloggers.
