Learning to draw
Hi everyone, I have been learning to draw people by watching the how to draw Youtube videos. But when I make mistakes I feel frustrated because I have to start again and again. And then I wasted papers. When I get the drawing right I am happy. I learned that patience is the right thing to do. It takes time to draw and to get better at drawing it takes a lot of practice. This is my drawing.

Wow, that is an amazing drawing Zara! I like how you didn't give up when it got hard. Not many people are good at something straight away. When I started learning the drums it took ages to feel like I was learning anything. Maybe now you could use your skills to make some comic strips or illustrate your stories?
ReplyDeleteHi Zara, the drawings that you have shared are fabulous! I really like the detail that you have added, especially the way you have used shading in the eyes of the character. Is there are a certain person you are following on youtube to help you out? I know that it can be frustrating but taking your time and showing patience like you have talked about will really help you to improve.

Mingalaba Zara, I'm really impressed with your drawings! You've included such detail, you've obviously been doing lots of practising. Don't worry about 'wasting' paper, I don't think you are wasting it at all...the original drafts you do are your practise versions - just like we draft and edit writing. I've been sending my brother videos of my accordion playing and sometimes I have to record it four times before it's correct! Keep up the hard work and remember 'practice makes perfect'. :-)

ReplyDeleteI LOVE your drawings. I totaly agree with you, being patient is the right thing to do. It's good to hear you are staying home. Drawing is a relaxing but fun activity to do. Those drawings look so cool, I'd like to know what Youtube videos you watched.
