My paper rocket

 On Tuesday the 22nd 2020 Te Ana Ako, we made paper rockets out of coloured paper. First we were given a red stripe of paper and I got to choose our coloured circle and cut them out. We also made wings with left over pieces of paper. Second we got out red stripe of paper, then we rolled it into a small medium size a bit into a long circle. Then we taped it together. Thirdly we put that aside and made the hat. I chose the colour white for my hat and wings. We cut the circle out and put a small cut on the hat, Then I grabbed the hat ends of the cut and we taped it together. We used the left  over paper bits to cut out wings. I could cut out three or two wings. After I made the wings I taped it onto my long red circle. I also taped my hat on the top leaving the bottom part empty. It took me a while to glue to hat on the circle because it kept coming off. Once I finally finished the teacher had two pumps that were a blue colour. So we put our paper rocket on the tube part and then we pressed the pump, The paper rocket went flying. Some rockets didn't work. Mine did kind of. I was happy my rocket launched off because some took two days to finish, like mine. Some had two days to finish because we had a short amount of time on the day we started our rockets.

My six thinking hats comprehension about pollution

 Kia ora! On Monday the 14th of September 2020 Kaiwhare started learning about pollution and rubbish in the ocean. Our class did a thinking hat comprehension activity. We read an article about how a plastic bag got all the way down the Mariana trench. It was 11,000 meters deep. The Mariana trench is one of the deepest points in the ocean. This was interesting to read and I felt worried, mad, and sad.

Cross-Country

On thursday 25th june 2020 it is Cross Country. Cross Country is where you run exercise and have fun and some school run a bakery. People hate running but it is a good way to keep up at everything and help sleep if you cant sleep. Eating heathy is good too because it has protien and it can make you ready for running.

My Favourite Piece Of Online Learning

My favourite piece of online learning so far is writing. I love writing because I get to write interesting things and cool pictures. I can also write about my imaginations too.  Even though I like writing it is a challenge because I can make mistakes. And a good writer does not check their work while writing, they check it after to make sure that they make no mistakes. I want to become a good writer so I don't make mistakes.

A rabbit in a pastel place

Yesterday i wore my favourite fluffy  pink blue yellow pastel colour socks the whole day. It got night and mom told me to change my socks because I wore the socks the whole day. I tried looking for some new pastel socks but there were only dark colour socks. I decided to wear my dirty pastel socks to sleep. I fell deep asleep and woke up in my dream, there was a small rabbit looking at me. He said hi and said follow me. He hopped along a donut colour pathway but without any icing. I followed him along the pathway.

We walked for hours until we reached a big candy castle. The castle  looked like a cake. At the top I saw a pink blue yellow pastel colour socks. I looked at my feet they had no pastel socks! I asked the rabbit about the castle to get the socks back, he said there are alive carrots who guard the castle we need a disguise. Who’s that big carrot at the top of the castle I asked. The rabbit replied, he is the carrot king he loves pastel things. I said, my socks are pastel! The rabbit said that’s why we are going to get them back for you! The bunny took me back to her cave. We found a  t-shirt with a carrots on it and fluffy pants with carrots on them too. They looked like pyjamas but I wore them anyways. Me and bunny found a beanie in a shape of a carrot and I wore it. I found a small jumpsuit with carrots on them and gave them to rabbit. I gave the mini hat with carrots on them for rabbit to wear. We walked back to the castle. We walked in like nothing happened as 2 carrots were at the door. We looked around and carrots were everywhere. We crept up the stairs. Rabbits hat came off and all carrots stared at rabbit...

I shouted QUICK! Go up the stairs!!! Rabbit and I ran up the stairs as quick as possible! We reached the second floor as the carrots followed us behind. More carrots started chasing after us! Some of them got tired and stopped while the rest followed us to the 10th floor we saw the carrot king. The carrots went back down on the 9th floor just in case We come back down. I saw my socks I was shocked and screamed GIVE BACK MY SOCKS!!! The carrot king said I would put these socks into this green poison and he laughed. I said NO! Rabbit jumped down the balcony and was ready to catch the socks at the bottom of the floor. The carrot king dropped the socks and bunny jumped over the puddle just in time to reach the socks and landed at the other side of the poison. The carrot king laughed and laughed and rabbit shouted HAH how do you feel about this and rabbit showed the socks to the carrot king. I surprisingly ran down the stairs and barged through the carrots. The carrots were sleeping the king looked at the carrots and shouted WELL WHAT ARE YOU DOING GO GET THEM! The carrots woke up and ran down the stairs following me. I reached the door and rabbit had planned something..

Rabbit landed on a big big puddle of thick mud. The carrots slipped into the mud. The king came down and slipped in too. Ge shouted I WILL GET YOU BACK!! Me and carrot ran back to the cave and said well done here are your socks. I said thank you and gave him a big hug. We waved bye and mom was waking me up. I said ugh morning mom. Mom looked at my feet and said did you wear those socks to bed? I said hehe yes I had a dream about carrots and a rabbit. I talked to my family all about the dream. And they all laughed.

Learning to draw

Hi everyone, I have been learning to draw people by watching the how to draw Youtube videos. But when I make mistakes I feel frustrated because I have to start again and again. And then I wasted papers. When I get the drawing right I am happy. I learned that patience is the right thing to do. It takes time to draw and to get better at drawing it takes a lot of practice. This is my drawing.

Super powers.

Three super powers I want is flying. The reason I want flying is because it can protect me from robbers and murder because there are no robbers or murderer in the air and its peace and quiet.

 And the second super power I want is invisibility. the reason I want this super power is so I can eat sweets without my Mum Dad or Sister knowing and I can also watch any time I want.

 And the third power I want is deaf the reason I want deaf is when my mum shouts at me I can change my ears into deaf so I cant hear my mum and when she stops shouting at me I can stop being deaf.

 these reasons are helpful to me because I hate hearing shouting and I am scared of killers and robbers who might hurt me and invisibility is my favourite because I can do what I want sometimes only but not all the time. And If my mum says no to something I can always change to invisible and do It. That's the end of my three super powers Good bye!
